Engineering Courses

The creative application of scientific principles to design or develop structures, machines, apparatus, or manufacturing processes, or works utilizing them singly or in combination; or to construct or operate the same with full cognizance of their design; or to forecast their behavior under specific operating conditions; all as respects an intended function, economics of operation and safety to life and property

Pass in 2nd PUC/12th Std/equivalent examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
Obtained 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the following subjects: Chemistry/Biology/ Biotechnology/Computer Science/Electronics.
In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and other backward classes( Category 1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for eligibility will be 40% in aggregate in optional subjects in qualifying examination

** NOTE
The candidate seeking for admission under management quota, Eligibility criteria depends upon the college/university norms.
The percentage  require for admission varies from colleges to colleges strictly under management quota
the student must have appeared any of the entrance exams ( JEE Mains, COMEDK, University level exams) in the current year for admission under management quota.

Admissions in the Engineering courses is done through entrance examination. The admission to undergraduate programs of all the NITs and other reputed engineering colleges is done through Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main).

For admission to IITs (Indian Institute of Technology), students have to appear the JEE Advanced.

Some states also organize their own entrance test for providing admission to B.Tech programme. Some state level entrance exams are

COMEDK conducted by Karnataka State

BCECE conducted by Bihar state,

JCECE conducted by Jharkhand state,

TS EAMCET by Telangana state,

AP EAMCET of Andhra Pradesh state.

OJEE conducted by Orissa State

WBJEE conducted by West Bengal State

Some reputated University also organize their own entrance test for providing admission to B.Tech programme. Some University level entrance exams are

VITEEE- Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore

BITSAT- Birla institute of technology and science, (Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad)

PESSAT- PES University, Bangalore.

SRMJEE- SRM institute of science and technology, Chennai

KIITEE- Kalinga Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar

All private colleges in India have some reserved seats allocated to them by the government defined as Management/ NRI quota.

These seats are given by the college on their own norms and eligibility. The colleges may charge capitation amount / development charges/ or increase in fees structure to give seats to deserving candidates.

All colleges do have their own eligibility criteria, terms and conditions to give seats to respective students. The criteria and procedure varies from colleges to colleges.

** note- management/NRI quota is STRICTLY available only in private colleges. No government colleges is having Management/ NRI quota. Admission to the govt. colleges can done only through by clearing the entrance exams.

Engineering is one of the best job oriented educational programme across the world. It is a professional educational course. Engineers are highly demanded in India as well as in Foreign countries. Career options in this field are huge.

Career Options After B.Tech
After B.Tech, you can go for a job. Some colleges provide campus placement to their students. If you will not get campus placement, then you can attend off campus placements or apply for the companies by our own. If you have a dream to run your own company then you can also become an entrepreneur.
Career scope in private as well as in government fields is also available. Students can apply for Indian Engineering Services (IES) examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
After B.Tech, students can also go for higher studies and pursue M.tech, MBA, MS, UPSC, NDA, AIRFORCE, ARMY, RAILWAYS and all respective fields.
After B.Tech students can also appear ILETS, TUFFEL, GRE, GMAT, etc for studying abroad for courses like MBA and MS.
There are a lot of chances to get the reputed job once done the engineering course.
